Momentum Mining Services (MMS), an integrated provider of mining services and products to mining houses across Africa is looking for a dynamic, creative metallurgist to join the process team. We are looking for a metallurgist with a proven ability to solve problems, design and optimize subcircuits within the mineral processing chain and who possesses the type of crosscutting experience and wherewithal to work on the complex problem of improving or maintaining target mineral recoveries for our clients given the changing chemistry of the ore feed over time. The role will primarily involve copper and gold process plants.
Responsibilities
- Understand client process plant requirements
- Formulate solutions to client process plant problems
- Propose and implement process plant maintenance programs
- Achieve and maintain client target metal recovery rates
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- Ability to interact with clients to get an accurate picture of requirements
- Perfect written and spoken English
- Understanding of the process plant economics
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
Nice to have
- French Language ability
- Professional certifications
- Process plant design skills
- Exposure to marketing and sales techniques
